New Post (at long last!)

Sorry for the long break from posting on the blog!

I have been busy recently, working on some artwork/animation for Victor Animation Studio. Here is a tiny illustration of a boat!:

This is an illustration which is for a boat/fish magazine, I only had less than half of a day working on it, hence the lack of detail.. but i kinda like the simple, graphic look.....I will try to keep you updated on what I'm doing (which is, at the moment, a title animation)

Crazy Computer Supplies

I have been asked by a small company ' Crazy Computer Supplies' to create a logo for them. Here is the font I may use... I am still in the process of creating a logo.

New Website!

I have just updated my website! At last! here you will see all of my latest artwork! and information.

I'm still working on sections of the site such as the Animation page as well as the information for each image, i also plan to have a 'next image' part added sometime soon.

visit the site here: www.simonjhill.co.uk

Also, if anyone notices any problems with the site then please let me know in the comment section of this post!

Thank You!

*Update*

Due to the time taken to recreate the site (damn lightbox html coding!) i have not done any research painting this week but i shall continue next week!

Research Painting

Every week i will be doing 'Research Painting' to hopefully better my skill as an artist... learning about lighting and colours... aswell as scale and proportions. This is the first one.. (Still work in progress ofcourse)

I notice there are quite a few areas not right or perfect, but hopefully through these weeks of painting i will have a better eye to spot the mistake much more quickly...
